Editor guide

How we work at Aditor. Read it once, come back when you need it.

Your road

The training phase takes about four weeks. You move up automatically: training progress and clean deliveries decide.

  1. Get set up. The checklist that opens when you sign in. Cards come once it's done.
  2. Stage 1 · Newbie. Your first cards come from the card dealer on Telegram. 90 % of the AdLingo course plus 8 clean first deliveries move you up — checked at the start of each month.
  3. Stage 2 · Training. Real client cards from the dispatcher. You set your own hours, days off and weekly capacity in the Hub.
  4. Stage 3 · Full-time Aditor. The goal. After that: owning a brand.

Rules

These keep the collaboration working. Ignore them, get sloppy or work against them, and we stop working together.

  1. We deliver in 48 hours — no matter what. That includes internal feedback, so your final version goes into feedback after 24 hours.
  2. Use AI wisely. Free footage from TikTok, YouTube or Pexels first. When you do use AI, pick the cheapest tool that does the job — a simple shot doesn't need the tool that burns 80 credits.
  3. Master the Editing License. Claiming cards, editing, internal feedback and presenting to clients. If it shows repeatedly that you don't follow it, you redo the license and get no cards until then.
  4. Communication = trust. Time off is fine. Announce it beforehand and find a replacement.
  5. Proactivity gets rewarded. Ideas for better workflows? Share them. Effort earns growth.
  6. Have fun. Experiment. Ask yourself every day what you want to try new.

Delivering a card

  • 3–5 variations per card — structure, hooks or style. Unsure what to vary? Vary the hooks. They belong in the first submission.
  • Export straight into Drive: Aditor Inc. › Brand › Brand – Shared › Card. Drive syncs, no manual upload.
  • File name: ProjectName_Hook1.mp4. Premiere's H.264 Medium Bitrate preset — huge files slow down Facebook uploads.
  • Keep the due date honest. Will it take longer? Update the date on the card. At the deadline the final files are in the folder and linked in a Trello comment.
  • We use Freeframe now, not Frame.io.
  • Read the brand guide before you start — audience, editing and style decisions.

Post this in #card-feedback when a card is ready for review:

Brand – brand name
Trello – Trello link
Freeframe – Freeframe link
Time needed – hours spent

Everything we feedback

Check these before you send a card and you go revisionless.

  • Audience first. Who is this for — would they watch it voluntarily? Keep it authentic and product-specific.
  • Format. 9:16 by default (16:9 if briefed). Everything important, subtitles included, stays visible in the 4:5 feed crop — check with the Meta safe-zone template.
  • Audio. Voice-over and music balanced; the voice is clear and lively, never flat. Room sound matches the scene.
  • Subtitles, always. Legible font that fits the video.
  • Silent first. Meta plays muted — the video has to work without sound.
  • Talking heads: max 3–4 seconds without a visual change. Jump cut, zoom, angle change or B-roll after that.
  • Hook in 0–3 seconds. Something happens immediately and it works without sound. No slow fade-ins.
  • CTA visible for at least ~3 seconds. Clear, clean, not cluttered.
  • If it looks like AI, it fails. It should feel like a real phone video — small imperfections beat "too perfect".

Pay & billing

Rates, deductions and invoices live in the Hub and are always current there.

Asset Uploader (optional)

A Premiere Pro extension: on export it sorts every clip in your timeline (pain, product, application, solution) and uploads it to the client's assets folder on Drive.

  1. Install Node.js (LTS) and ffmpeg (brew install ffmpeg).
  2. Download the ZIP from Drive: Aditor Inc. › Aditor - Workspace › Tools › aditor-asset-uploader-v1.0.0.zip.
  3. Unzip it somewhere it can stay (e.g. Desktop). Don't move the folder afterwards.
  4. In Terminal: cd ~/Desktop/aditor-asset-uploader then bash install.sh.
  5. Quit Premiere completely (Cmd+Q), reopen, then Window › Extensions › Aditor Asset Uploader.
  6. Sign in with Google as [email protected] and paste the code into the panel.

First time you open a sequence it asks whether it's an Aditor project — pick the client once, it remembers. Panel missing? Quit Premiere with Cmd+Q, not just the window.
